Marketer’s Main Event?

I don’t know if this is true but someone just wrote me a message titled “This should be your next rant” . . .
“Should be about the ’sold out’ MM3 thing. Thousands of people paid a grand for a piece of software that was taken from an open source project called ” Mambo” - almost without changes. Check it out - I did”
I’m interested to hear more - any truth to this?
.X.
I think there’s a valid rant due on the price of software. Google Cash Detective was $500, plus another $97 per month for its Adwords module.
A week later Adspypro came out. $47 for functionality close enough to GCD. It doesn’t have the Adwords module, but anyone can survive without it.
I’ve run both and I don’t think GCD is worth the extra. Of course, it’s a moot point since GCD is closed, but if you missed out, checkout http://www.adspypro.com
Main point though is that we’re getting charge too much for this stuff…

I don’t know that I agree Frank, and here’s why - this is like paying good money for resale rights to something, then having someone on Ebay selling it for a penny.
Personally, I think JP Schoeffel is a slime-ball fuck - great deal that everyone has this software so cheap, but competitive advantage GONE. So essentially he’s ruined other people’s business - people who supplied a valuable piece of software, and he’s ruined the investment for EVERYONE. Go ahead and buy the software - soon it will be worthless anyway.
What the software was intended to do is now obsolete - and I have solutions to work it the other way for those who are sniping campaigns.
Flip it 180.
See, I only sold 500 copies of the Adwords Black Book at a high price because I knew how powerful the techniques are (and that they’d be worthless if everyone knew them).
JP Schoefel hasn’t done anyone a favor and that’s why I haven’t promoted his product. JP has made a lot of money, but it will not translate for the people buying it. I probably would have made A LOT of money, but this where my line of ethics is drawn out.
Besides all that, his manner of promotion is deserving of all ball-bat upside the head.
There is NOTHING ethical about that guy. He’s a weasel of the highest form - and a lousy marketer at that.
End of rant - and I’m sure some people will appreciate you sharing AdSpy Pro - don’t take my response personally, I hold a different opinion from a varying viewpoint.
All the best to you - X
